I like to paint these generously-endowed women with an eye to enhancing their hourglass shapes in a flattering, colourful way. I consider these pieces to be a kind of graphic caricature.
My picture potential comes from two main sources: What I observe, and that which is often (inadvertently) supplied through eavesdropping or casual conversation. It's all a study of the human condition. I steal shamelessly from literary sources, poetry and movie dialogue. Nothing is too trivial, hackneyed, overworked or trite to serve as subject material. |
